david lean travelling around the middle-east and north africa looking for peter 0'toole and omar shariff during filming of Lawrence of Arabia - eventually finding them pissed in a bar in dubai - they had chartered a light aircraft between them and decided to skip filming and go on a bender for three days! Class. The short bloke thing i'll just leave.

What about Peter cook in his dereck and clive days.
Many of the usual suspects are getting a bit old these days, I suspect. I saw Peter O'Toole a while back on a shoot and he was not exactly that energetic young man I used to watch in the movies when I was young, he was crouched in a comfy chair with his blanket round his shoulders, a fuzzy hat, slippers, and a warm steaming mug of something like Lemsip and looking rather like my grandad did when he had the flu.
But it was still impressive as Hell just to be there. Like getting to finally standing next to a famous mountain you've only ever seen pictures of before.
