If you could....
be the lead actor in any remake of a t.v.programme or film who would you like to be and why? Me I would like to be Arthur Daley in Minder, simply because I call my old woman.............
T.V : James Dean -James Dean
(James Franco TV film)
Film :
Stephane Miroux -Science Of Sleep
Commodus -Gladiator
Nathan Detroit -Guys and Dolls
Jesse -Before Sunrise/Before Sunset
all for different reasons but would love to do any of them if I could
John Kline, in a BBC series called Gangsters, set in the Birmingham underworld, it started off as a very violent Play for Today, writtien by John Martin (i think) and originally played by Maurice Colbourne, it was very funny, surreal and violent, and always had a 'Saturday morning cinema' type cliff-hanger at the end of each episode, if anyone remembers it I'll be amazed.
Michael, you could always play Obi Wan Kenobi if they remake the first three :-D)

@Michael Good
Good call MIchael, It was a great great programme and is just the type of thing that is missing from terrestrial TV today.
Where is the "Play for Today" today!?!
No wonder nobody watches TV anymore.
"Gangsters" is all over youtube by the way and I strongly recommend everybody has a look. Well written, brilliantly acted out with fantastic characters.
It certainly highlights the shortfalls of the contempory output.
Best.

I'd love to play Lister in Red Dwarf simply because I think the character is hilarious

Margo Leadbetter. It's been a nickname for as long as I care to remember though so I'm not sure it would be a stretch! :)
Wolfie from Citizen Smith
Most Definitely Kala (Evil one) in Flash Gordon - 'What do you Mean Flash Gordon Approaching!' Oh I would have loved the chance to have shut up Brian Blessed.......
