Merry Christmas everyone. Just found out I've got my first real proper acting job for MOPA theatre company. AND I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!

On New Year's Eve take a few minutes alone.
If you've had a good 2007 look back and draw it round and turn to face 2008.
If 2007 was not quite so good...then...turn...and face the other way...face 2008 and breathe in positive, self-assured, determined goals! Throw away the old year and let it go!

Here's to a fulfilling 2008 for us all - whatever that may mean.
If it means lots of lovely paid work then so be it, if it means exploring different paths, growing interests, digging deep and weathering out the storms, then let it all be fuel to our sense of self and our ability to challenge, move and entertain an audience.
That may sound pretentious, but I've just been through the hardest year in my professional and personal life so far. I've learnt so much along the way and am trying very hard to apply those things to make a positive change and not to let it continue to hurt my self-esteem.
We are in one the hardest professions, but we are still here - that is something to congratulate ourselves on and to rally round to support each other.
Wishing you all a peaceful and joyous Christmas!
Just to add my season's greeting too. I hope everyone has a really lovely time and that 2008 will bring everyone all they wish for themselves. I agree too re the eating thing - MUST stop eating the chocs and biccies! Next year, oh yes, I will be good :-))

May this season be a blessed one celebrating the Saviours birth for all.
If you are having a tough time at Christmas, or are lonely etc, just know its a day only, allow yourself to not be put under the pressure that society expects to be happy.
There are CCP memebers who will have had tough years, be grieving perhaps, missing close family or even be in the midst of real struggles. If you are that way, unhappy or just feeling desolate, know that you are valuable people with much to offer at all times- and that even though the industry may not affirm it- you have tremendous inherent value that no diretcor, review or production can add to or even take away.
May you all have a blessed Christmas and may Christ bless you richly this season.

Last Year was Last Year...Next Year is going to be one of the most interesting years you have ever experienced.
Use all of your talent, love, experience and concentrated mind power to think positively about your career and it will come to pass!!!
I have just had the most fantastic year with the help of CCP and other casting websites and been able to discuss some extremely interesting topics and been able to clarify my own way of thinking because of the forums. My way is now clear.
It is my fondest hope that in 2008 that I meet new friends to work with as well as have many opportunities to work with many of those who I have already done so!
All of my very Best Wishes go out to everyone who reads this message and takes note of its contents.
