Nudity

As anyone who had the dubious pleasure of witnessing my graduation show at Arts Ed will testify, I'm quite happy to get my kit off IN THE RIGHT CIRCUMSTANCES!

In a small pub fringe venue where you can smell the beer on the punter's breath, you really want to be sure of the importance of getting nekkid before wobbling your bits all over the place. AS was previously said, it can be rather liberating, and the anticipation is far worse than the deed, but it has to be a personal choice. I'm not terribly body confident, but then if its like the aforementioned show and its in a situation where you really would be naked, I'm inclined to believe most actors would go for it.

It is, understandably, invariably worse for women, and they are usually more likely to be asked. Having said that, I've met one or two actresses (who will remain un-named), who would drop their togs without too much encouragement (in a purely professional context of course!)...

I know what you mean about student films. I had one that said in the character breakdown that there was a kissing scene. When I read the script it was fumbling around naked in bed! Another one wanted me to pretend to masturbate! The scripts were crap as well.

well in response to that it doest matter how experienced you are if you are liked and can do the acting job well that's important factor, otherwise its snobbery!
I sing mainly and I an good at what I do but I can act also but I am no SIR JOHN GIELGUD ( a serious top actor in my book)

At the end of the day it is the actors choice, whether they want to do nude scenes or not, and there dosn't seem to be anything unprofessional about that.

I once read that a fairly well known actress said she did this nude scene, because she wanted to encourage other women to be comfortable with their bodies. Wow! How considerate. Cynics may have said she did it for the money & publicity!!!

Anyhow, there was this documentary on tv once about swinging. It was a couple in their 50's. And I'm thinking, THESE GUYS ARE SOMEONE'S PARENTS???!!! In real life, when you're in the nod or having a passionate love making session, you don't usually have your parents and children watching.

And by the way, I've had 3 children too. But at 42, I have a fantastic body!

Oh and Splatty. I know we don't always share the same views, but I want you to know that for some strange reason I really warm to you and think you're great.

The anonymity may not be due to any hugely mysterious 'expulsion' - I think that your profile goes into cold storage if you are paying for access to the site in monthly installments, and you stop the payments.
