Recent profile views?

Has anyone else had any unusual activity with their recent profile views recently? Over the last 4 days I have had several instances where I have had in a brief period of time, about an hour, up to 30 views at a time with a few minutes in between. It has happened 5 times all from different IP addresses. Has anyone else experienced this. I dont think it is of any huge significance but just interested why this has happened.

Yep, I got into the top ten viewed last week and I don't know why. 180 odd views in 24 hours.
I received a couple of dozen views all from Russia in a very short space of time! Paul

I used to only get a handful (4 or 5) 'unregistered user' views in a week, but have recently (in the last month or so) racked up about half a dozen a day on average. So now my 'views' page is just a stream of 'unregistered views', interspersed with the odd employer and member.
Catherine - yes, I remember you mentioning this before. I have lost count of the number of weird "Peter Halpin...[weird search]" google entries I've seen on here! Lord knows what's being searched for that we *don't* know about!! ;)

Thanks for your responses. Still can't seem to get to the bottom of this. But hey, I will just have to ignore it i suppose.
Catherine - That is disgusting. It no longer astonishes me the horrific things that women have to put up with.
Peter - This is what I'm talking about. I used to get visits, from companies and the occasional unregistered viewer, now I barely ever know who it is and will often get 15 or so within an hour. It is almost making the recent views part irrelevant even though it used to be one of the best features. I find it a bit frustrating.

yes it is rather frustrating,a whole list of unregistered viewers clog up my views page.Do you also get the same company looking at your profile 2 3 or 4 times on the same day?

I get IP addresses that when traced give locations in USA, Russia, China and Yorkshire UK.
The USA site I have identified as a military establishment. The Yorkshire site again transpires to be a listening post.
The Russian and China locations I would hazard a guess as to being of the same ilk.
Why? Who knows, at least I'm becoming more popular. My view count has gone from a few hundred to over 3000 in no time at all.

At one point I fantasised that they thought I was a spy, hahaha,
obviously I am great casting for that,
but no, it's weird bots,
It seems that if there is no obvious reason in the search engine for their accessing your profile, it is most likely a bot.

I was just about to post something on these 'Unregistered User's and read that a few of us are dealing with these silly amount of viewings as of recent! Wish I knew the reason why these Bots want to look at our profiles? Mainly from China or U.S.A.....
Anyway, Glad im not the only one being stalked by a Bot!

Yep me too - loads and loads of them. Ridiculous how our imaginations probably leapt at them. I had one from Kansas and immediately imagined some famous American director was on his ranch searching for talent....ho hum. Most are from Silicon Valley and China. Booo.
I get a very regular IP address from a skandanavian town population 3,000 thinking of moving there..i get viewed so often i reckon i have huge fan base - always fancied me one 'o them log cabins :0)
People are still searching for me 'nude' I've narrowed it down to a computer in Nottingham!!
Hi - yes been noticing very odd traffic. Started about a month ago and has intensified in the last 5 or 6 days. Now getting about a dozen views a day from virtually the same IP Address - last 2 numbers differ. The address appears to be based in China ? They have clicked on every audio and video file many times. Mysterious.....
All mine are from China. Maybe they are casting a film about the Opium Wars.
Or we could all be cast as the terracotta army

Aaah no waaay!! I was living in my ego bubble under the impression all the profile views I kept getting were.genuinely.from.people.....even those at 3.20am (post night out drinking search..you know)

That's right, these are just bots, that crawl the web to index sites, even though we are on the secure site, there will still be an external link to your name. Therefore, if you google search your name some where down the line you will see you name listed as www.callingcallpro/johnsmith
Indeed lots of views are bots for various search engines.
The Real acid test is profile view to audition ratio for sites that get you work...... that way you can monitor stats properly.
