Scar Tissue

I just wondered if anybody had heard anything about this job since applying.
I presumed that i was not even in the running as I hadnt had any contact aprt from a message saying castings would take place this week.

Same here. No news since their message.
I still appear "under consideration" but I assume they changed their mind...

Mm,yes I has assumed under consideration pretty much meant no one had updated it to thanks but no thanks.
Always a gutter when the project looks on the surface to be reasonably well funded and thought out.

Damn my phones predictive text struck again. It keeps deciding to change certain words for no reason at all.Steve Jobs is alive in my Iphone and enjoying himself at my expense.

I thought the name looked familiar but couldn't find anything then realised they advertised some more roles this week and I applied on Wednesday so it looks as though there are still decisions to be made.

Me neither! Not heard since message saying that castings are next week!

There should be a rule against those who email saying:
'You may have an audition, you may not, but you applied so we will let you know'

I get so excited when I get a message on here, it is so disappointing!

I haven't heard from them either :)

Yes, I had that message as well. On Screenbase it says they are due to start shooting on the 17th.

Trying to decide between my two favourite sayings from my Grandma.

"No news is good news"

And

"live in hope.... Die in despair!"

I haven't heard either, but that under consideration message always cheers me up a bit!

Guys,

It's never, ever, a good idea to discuss a live casting in a public forum.

Just saying!

I haven't heard either, but I have auditioned for them before for their other independent movie so they are professional usually.

I applied twice and although they sent me the the message, they have never viewed my profile or application. I always find it depends on when you apply. On a job like this they must get thousands of applications and if you apply early like i think i did, then you proberbly quickly get pushed furthur down their inbox and forgotten about. Good luck if you get an audition tho!

Mm,I totally understand forbes. Its always best to be cautious.

However in this instance,I was simply curious as to whether in fact anyone had any further info regarding this film.
Its always exciting to see someone other than the huge studios attempting to get a film made.So of course people are naturally curious about it.

I applied like im sure everyone else did, with at least the vauge hope of getting seen, even if I didnt end up with any work out of it.

I think thats the main hurdle that faces anybody working. To be able to get through the doors.
I only really posted this on the forum because my original message stated that people who were on the list, would in fact be seen during the week just gone.
So with this in mind & a filming schedule which is less than a few weeks away ,I figured I was most certainly out of the running.

If you weren't before you're more than likely are now, now that you've questioned their professionalism publicly! You've been in the game long enough to know schedules frequently slip.

For any live casting it's best to keep schtum!

Apply and then get on with you're life! If the phone rings for an audition, bonus! Attend the audition and then get on with your life again. If the phone rings again...double bonus!

I don't tell or discuss with anyone what I'm up to until contracts are signed...seems to work for me!

Just saying! :-)

I think if you read his post he didnt question their professionalism. He just asked a question which they would have no reason to get upset by.

Thank you Louie.

At least you took the time to read my posting properly.

With respect, I've read all the posts properly. Although professionalism isn't expressly stated it's clearly in the subtext!

I stand by my point! It's a live casting! Your doing yourselves no favours even discussing it! Keep schtum and ride the rollercoaster Guys!

Oh dear me.

I promised myself I wouldnt reply to this or get baited by it.

But I cant keep quiet. There was no subtext. The only person who saw that was you.
You werent just saying, you were stirring.

No one else has seen a negative thing in me wishing to know if anybody had been lucky enough to hear more about this project.

I didnt point a finger at anyone.

As I stated I figured I was out of the running, because the deadline for seeing people had(according to the original message sent to me)come and gone.
Im going to leave this subject alone now ,because frankly your making me angry.
