With lockdown and recently moving into a place where I'm on my own, I've noticed that trying to do self tapes on my own without a reader is really difficult in getting going and effecting the quality of my performances, sometimes even not sending at all and I'm thinking I can't be the only one who has experienced this before, as acting is reacting and doing it with someone makes it feel like a actual performance even as just a cold reader.
The only thing is it can be quite expensive with handy tools and websites like Mr self tape etc when you have multiple tapes throughout the month. Obviously you don't need a reader for every single one but I had a thought today that if anyone in the West London area was interested and experiencing the same problems, would they like to buddy up when we both have a self tape that needs doing and we can get them both filmed and read for each other, kill 2 birds with one stone and hopefully improve both our chances that little more! If multiple people were interested could even start a little group where everyone could help each other. Thought I'd post it here to see if anyone would be interested, if you are please feel free to comment below!
