we young actors sometimes need advice or a friend to bend an ear .. We have many young actors on ccp who feel they cant talk to the older actors as some older actors are still seeking agents themselfs so a few young actors and we need more hint hint to be willing to give honest advice and support each other with getting a gent how to get a castings how to promote yourself and most of all back you up im just one of the ppl who are willing to do this for young actors blucky mickey churchill

Regarding colours at auditions, I usually focus on the type of clothes rather than the colour. Although I never ever wear black to a commercial as it makes me look too intense.
Nope just can't justify the outlay every month when I haven't had any (paid) work from here! :( Such a shame to lose the forum bit, but have to be realistic about what the site gives me :)
One last comment before they ex-communicate me :) Clothes - no patterns, something simple that draws attention to your face. Ladies, Mark Summers says always tie your hair back so your face is clearly seen, they'll ask you to take it down if they want to see it down (this is so true). No jeweller, certainly no dangly earrings, massive cocktail rings (for the hand bit of your ident to camera it's a disaster), or jangly bracelets that clank when you move :). If you get a recall, wear the same outfit again. It worked the first time and is a visual reminder to the CD :) Clean, tidy nails and brushed hair (no bedhead, surfy, beachy stuff unless they've particularly asked fo it - especially if it's a shampoo ad or similar!) While you wait to go in, don't talk loudly about "the business" (they know you're an actor or you wouldn't be there!), gossip about named actors, talk about your stint in the Fringe doing Shakespeare etc.., declare what you will and won't do at a casting. Phew! getting it all down while i still can! :)

Wld be great to still have the forum facility but not at a better value cost, as mark suggests. :) think i'll be gone by tomorrow - parting is such sweet sorrow blah blah ;) keep up the good work!
Ooh that would be nice :) when i'm rich and famous i'll make a film and u can all be in it. Paid and with a copy on dvd received in "a timely" fashion and an invite to premier plus all expenses. How's that? Ooooh - and no video castings ;)
I'm finding a similar problem, but I paid up for the year when they had a special offer so I'm set :)
Out of curiosity, is it your agent that is the main source of you being seen for paid work? (slightly off topic, but technically I'm asking for advice)
Hey Catherine, I'll PM you :) But no, they get me the really well paid jobs such as my Hyundai Ident and access to castings for feature films etc..and I get the other paid stuff and also finding unpaid work I want to do for my showreel, like "Bubbles" etc.. x

Ccp is a uk site which says what it does on the tin i think u must all agree we are not celebs we are jobbing actors at this time but who knows were you will be a yr from now in this game its climing a ladder homing your skills adding studennt films to showreel to give your agent new stuff to work with there are no easy roads apart from selling urself casting couch i just want youto be really on the ball when you see it the french kicked it out straight away mickey making u aware x

Think real make it here first then you will get offers global ,but so many of usa sites are scams it breaks my hart to see ppl getting ripped off. But your choice mickeyx
