Student project and horn blowing

Voice Over: Canadian

I am not one to blow my own horn, but I received an email this morning from a New Jersey grad student that the short film we did for her final project was voted one of the world's must watch top funniest short films in April by Vulture/New York Magazine. This was a student indie film that has now gotten more publicity than we could have hope. And I did it pro bono. And I live in the UK. She posted in a forum like Mandy and Backstage. the ad said looking for locals. For VO, locations have no power over us, and our blanket playrooms. Do not dismiss voice jobs, until the client is only doing studio recording. read the job listing all the way through.

Take the time to support the students out there filming there projects. It's practise and it's something useful for your sizzle reel. Also, as shown, you never know where these things could go. The projects don't pay the bills, that is true, but in the longer game they are vital, magical additions to your portfolio. And a heck of a lot of fun. I hope everyone has a great week.
