Sum up the acting industry
If you could sum up the acting industry in one sentance what would you say?
Basically for the dissertation I have to write a report and I need an opening line for my introduction.

It may be worth remembering that what Leila is writing (and so needs an introductory sentence for) is an analysis of the psychological makeup of actors working at various levels within the profession.
You don't have to be mad to work in the acting industry, but if you are even cast as a madman it might help.

I see things differently: my job is my hobby.
This year I made a living by chasing a flying horse in a magic car, I witnessed the end of the world, I killed zombies with a bow and arrows, I fell madly in love and ended up shooting my lover etc...
Most people don't get to do this in their everyday lives! This is really fun!
And each job changes you on a deeper level as you get to understand human nature better. It allows you to explore yourself and discover parts of yourself that you didn't know existed.
I grow as a human being with every job.
It's addictive.

Acting is the chance to be proud of being unemployed.Because at anytime you could be called upon to fight the wicked witch or save the princess.It just depends on whether or not your willing to believe in magic,or a good agent...
Acting is what the boys and girls who never really grew up play at with much better toys
and dressing up boxes.
And for me personally it's the closest thing to time travel I will ever experience!
