I am re-reading Clive Manceron's five volume history of the pre French Revolution period, 'The Men of Liberty'. I don't expect anyone else to have ever heard of it, wish to read it, or track down any copies (last reprint c. 1989). But what do I know? I read Kafka for light relief.
