Talent Status payments

Talent Status have taken a payment from my Paypal account. I have cancelled recurring, but I need to contact them. Anybody any ideas how to do this. Are they connected to MANDY ??

Not connected to Mandy - they're a v dodgy casting site and if you research them you'll see they have done this to many people and won't respond if you contact them. I'd contact your bank for advice, to block future payments to them and see if they can help with a refund. Also Action Fraud.

Thank you Sally I really appreciate you took the trouble to reply. They took 3 payments today from my Paypal account. 2 were refunded but the one for £59 has not been. I have cancelled the recurring payment and been trying to contact them. Only email I can find is casting@talentstatus.com but the was undeliverable.

Sorry this has happened to you. Scammers. I'd open a case with PayPal - they should be able to help you.

Hi Valerie, the same thing happened to me and PayPal were able to refund me. I phoned them and explained the situation, they then changed the type of case I had opened to it being a missing item as opposed to a subscription service, which enabled them to issue an immediate refund.

Good news ! Talent Status have refunded me and several of my friends. They emailed to say they had technical issues. If you need help try this email sales@talentstatus.com I am happy to forward the email they sent me to you if you need it. My email is croztalks@gmail.com.

Unfortunately PAyPal initially offered the refund then it was declined as I had not given them the information they required . I was unable to do this as I could not get a response from Talent Status
So back to square one, still £59.99 out of pocket

Hello, I've emailed Mandy.com a few times regarding a refund, as I am within my rights to request one according to their terms and conditions. They just flat out ignore me. I'm considering taking legal action. Any advice of what to do? They took money via my bank and not PayPal.

Try starting a new thread with your complaint. I think that's the only time posts are actually moderated/paid any attention to, so it'll get nixed if you word it strongly enough and you'll get an actual email reply (whether they respond further to that, though...)

It might be worth tweeting about it if you're on Twitter - it tends to put potential new customers on notice something is wrong so may get faster attention.

Good news ! I did finally get PayPal to reinstate the refund to me. If you use PayPal create a dispute in the resolution centre, but make sure you list the payment NOT as a subscription but as a product or service not supplied. Hope this works for you

I have had 5 lots of £59 taken out of my account since Dec 3 being in Jan 23 alone! I'm not even with this agency. I've tried paypal but to no avail.
