Thought for the day

Do you know, it's just dawned on me that I've spent more time in my life dreaming than thinking. I think I missed my life: it passed me by while I wasn't paying attention. No one has plenty of time. It's important to do what you're doing like it's your last chance.

Hugh, just keep dishing out the spoonfulls of sugar buddy!

And as Dr. Spoc always said: 'Live long and prosper.'

Or as Jim Morrison said, 'Get you kicks before the whole shit house goes up in flames.'

One had big ears and the other had long hair. They can't both be right can they?

Gooseman, glad to see you're still in fine fettle and let me tell you that if you look like Gerard Butler in Phantom get your picture on here quickly, you will have all the women swooning at your feet!

Sasha, the woman who knows but never shows.

Glad to see that you are still a model of principles and fortitude.

Alas - Gerard be but one of a kind, and the cost to make myself look like him is more than that of a crunchy, and thus, the sweet honeycombe won the day.

Moral to the story: thank crunchy it's myday

Guess that's why I spend so much of my time flat on my face then, Steve - I always have my face to the sun! Perhaps it pays to be a little cautious now and then?

Gooseman - you'll never be Phantom with jokes like those, sorry!!! Embrace your rugged plumage! Still made me smile though!

You up for making any suggestions Steve?

Hi Captain and why are you heartbroken?? Have you lost your ship somewhere. Maybe it hit a rock and sank? Or did you get washed out to sea?

Well now that my funny feathers are hanging on a hook I guess I need something to keep me busy. Free falling with a pretty maiden can't be so bad. After all, if you don't know what you are heading into then you should dive in head first and find out really quickly. (My old dear, Mother Goose told me that, but then she.......(fill in the funny gap yourselves))

Steve, I can't believe that for one moment. I'm sure everything you say is taken very seriously. Don't get downhearted I'm sure great things will come to you in the end, have patience and keep smiling

Aww, Captain - sorry to hear that! But remember a woman can mend your heart too, you just have to find yourself the right one (with a tube of superglue to mend the rips and tears) and then you can sail off into the sunset together. I hope you manage to find her in the near future!

Steve's full of great suggestions so maybe we should get him on the case for you???

High fives indeed skipper - to the life of singular uncomplications, created by the decisions that we HAD to make. There is solace in that somewhere.

So to Sasha and Steve - can you two fine people aid the good Captain's and my own lonely plight?

here's hoping...

Welcome back Captain and Gooseman. Nice to have you back on board...even if it does mean I had 30 unread emails relating to this thread when I turned on my PC :o(

Anyway, back on topic :

Mike, hope you are well. Its good to have somebody along with Steve keeping us on topic and preventing the random spouting of useless and over-the-top prevaricative ruminations that actually make little if any sense whatsoever. Thank bollocks your back.

I read this somewhere once. Can't remember where or who said it but it was in relation to their life; "Why did the phone always ring when I was on the toilet?"

Says it all.......
