hi guys, thought this might brighten your day a bit
Right, so i was performing with another load of ccp actors last night in our play at the barons court theatre, We were nearing the end of our performance, we have a chaise longue on stage which is used frequently, anyhoo i come running on stage to say my line at which point the 2 guys fighting on it end up on the floor as the chaise longue broke under them!!!, they are trying to fight but they keep sliding off the chaise longue because now it resembles a sprawled out cat, to make it even better, the protagonist walks on stage and sees the chaos and snorts as the lights go down.
now picture all that in your head but 10 times worse!!!!

This thread is VERY amoosing!
When I was in sixth form at secondary school I was proudly cast as Snow White in the end of term production(yes - times have changed!!) and at that time I was attending an all girls school, which was integrating with the local Grammar school for certain subjects. Stakes were high to make a good first impression and during one rehearsal (boys watching in the front row) I was directed to come skipping onto the stage as energetically as I could. Well... that was a challenge and you guessed it... the caretaker had kindly buffed the stage with a high shine wax just before lunch!!! With my legs in the air and my green gym knickers on show this was the moment where I learnt to fake laugh. The front row went silent for just enough time(although it seemed like a ten year gap)to double over, draw breath and erupt into laughter.
It's no wonder I chose this profession really ;0)
