Unwanted

Now this wording made me feel valued! From under consideration to unwanted I feel like a hard to home rescue dog. Happy days.

Editorial Comment Hello Michelle,

I am sorry to hear you are concerned about the way we mark your applications when successful or unsuccessful. Your Application status will always be marked in black as either Viewed, Under Consideration, Job Closed, Success or Filled. I can assure you however we would never use the phrase 'Unwanted'. Please do reach out to us at emails@mandy.com if you are concerned about a specific application, however.

Michelle Gilliver,

Sorry to ask, did a Mandy casting actually LIST you as unwanted after you were first under consideration?

If so, that's appalling. Forgive my naievity as I've never experienced this.

If I've ever been under consideration for anything (and the majority of the time my application hasn't been taken further) it doesn't display anything else.

It's not hard to understand why there are more negative responses to casting applications especially when In the first instance it's the knock back of not receiving any news but then being given wording that is so degrading and just unecessary.

I'm genuinely sorry to hear that happens to you.

I think this is an option that Mandy gives to potential employers. Maybe the wording should be rephrased to say 'job no longer active' or 'released'. Much nicer. Or just leave it. We all know that if we haven't been contacted after a time, then we haven't got it. Under consideration is the same as a light/heavy pencil. It means nothing these days and isn't helpful. It's not personal though so don't think that's what they think of you. x
