I'm reaching out to any of you that are growing concerned that almost every theatre, as well as producers in the UK, are making it mandatory that actors are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as a requirement of employment.
As actors we are consistently at the mercy of the industry's judgement; wether we look right and fit a particular role. This is a necessary and understandable part of the casting process. However, when it comes to deciding what medical procedure we have (and this choice becoming a condition of employment), we then have a right to assert our voice and empower our position; I do not believe we are at the mercy of an industry that asks this much of us.
