We all know what is happening to London from July to end of August now I have been working in a corporate scenario in Canary Wharf that had told their staff to work from home and that was said last year now I am in Victoria another company telling their employees to stay away for the period of Olympics - please can someone divulge to me and my fellow actors - are we the sad ones to know - Equity - CCP you should be advising us a plan of action - regards Julie who gets very grrrf wants in a while
Yup...this is my point! Anyone can set up these sorts of casting sites....do you have to pay to join? If its free membership fair dos I guess. However, I still say "mainstream work" ie: proper paid UK TV and Film gigs will not cast direct from Reels etc. Short list perhaps...and I'd be all in favour of when they start doing that.
Most of the work is SAG. It was started in France and caught on in the US where casting has always been much more open. All my work has been paid at SAG rates or above.
Mark look at the site and see who's actually using it. There are very rarely unpaid jobs on there. As rare as jobs for people my age in fact. I thought there might be a few people here up for "William the Conqueror" for Arte.

It works well. It's very limited at the moment but I do remember Mickey Churchill saying that on-line auditions were becoming the norm in the US.
The stuff I got was not what I auditioned for either but CDs remember people.
