WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BECOME AN ACTOR???
HI all,
I was thinking ( I do this from time to time- dangerous) and wonder about the reasons people chose to go into this profession. I see it as a calling and vocation, and am intersted to know what made people want to be actors.
I think if we remember the reasons why we chose it, it can help us through the tough times.

What made me want to become an actor?

I like how no one has pointed out that we all must be slightly insane to want to do as a full time job! I mean it is cool playing a manaic or a witch and it is interesting but think about all the stress that we willingly put our selves through in order to create the character, but hey we all love.
As for me I don't know why I wanted to become an actress i guess I saw both my parents in their job and they always seemed to be moaning or whining or unhappy about someone or something and I was doing something that i liked and enjoyed and even though there where some things that wound me up they did not really seem to matter.
For me it was when I acted my way out of getting busted on a school trip to France when we had girls and booze in our room.. The teachers broke in unannounced and as I had purposely sat in bed in case this happened was able to pretend I was sleeping, then "woke up" and got a "sorry to wake you Simon" from our head of year! I thought it was obvious I had to be an actor after that. If only I'd been proved right! Ha!
