Win classes with Auditions For Commercials!!!

Auditions For Commercials , workshops hosted by acclaimed casting directors Tree Petts and Lou Clouter, can help you gain the skills and confidence needed to make the most of your commercial castings and get you into more frequent paid work.

What's included in the workshop?

Drama Auditions & Commercial Castings – the differences explained; helping to dispel the mystery and remove the fear from the casting process by explaining what goes on behind the scenes.

Tips and Techniques / Do’s and Don’ts – running through the list of valuable tips, techniques & advice on how children should present themselves, pointing out the do’s and don’ts of auditioning for a commercial.

Idents – the initial stage of a casting where the child introduces themselves to camera and responds to questions. Children are encouraged to show their personality.

Commercial Scripts – working with commercial scripts in front of a camera. This is then reviewed on-screen whilst each child is given valuable feedback and helpful advice regarding their individual performances. This is crucial as it enables the child to look at what they have done and we can show them where and how to improve.

You can definitely join KidsCCP if you're at least 5 and not older than 17, but is this the "playing age range" used for castings?

Just a hint from the team! Still waiting for the correct answer!

I should think it's the range of ages that you can play based on your looks and character. So for example, if you're 11 and small, you could set up a playing age range of 9 - 11 which means that you would be good for parts that require 9, 10 or 11 year olds.

Yes the playing age is 5-17 but I reckon the playing age is two years either side of your actual age

The playing age range is a four year age range particular to an individual. For example if your playing age range is 10 to 13 you can play a 10, 11, 12 or 13 year old.

Playing age has little to do with actual age. It is particularly useful if you are an older child who is small. You can be aged 12 but have your playing age 9-12 or if older looking age 11-14. Good luck everyone

This is the 3 year range for which you can qualify. Usually within the actual age but not always.
