Any great recommendations

    Hi there,

I am looking to get some new heradshots done and have done my research, but thought I would rely on good old fashioned word of mouth and see if anyone knows any great photographers off the top of their head, or has had a good experience/session?

    Thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Raya

I'd recommend both Pete Bartlett and Rocco Redondo. Also worth looking at Elyse Marks.

John Clark, I've used him twice. Have a look at my headshots if you like. I'm one of those people who HATES having pics taken and can't smile and tends to do the mad stare thing, so he does a great job for me! :) I'd highly recommend him, his lighting and subtle retouching is amazing and he really knows what he's doing and what NOT to do. It's such an important investment, don't be tempted to go for the cheapest - I had to save and save to have him, but was determined to give myself the best shot at getting a casting by having a really top-notch headshot, it's your calling card and you really have to get it right. If you can't get past the headshot because it doesn't make you stand out then you're in a no-win situation. Hope this helps :)

Just had a great headshot session with Caroline Webster - www.carolinewebster.co.uk - and cannot recommend her highly enough. Competitive prices, long and thorough session (mine was nearly 4 hours!) and excellent end product. Go for it!

Steve Lawton is fantastic. He was recommended to me by an agent last year, and i've gone on to recommend him. He offers decent rates, and the pictures are beautiful. You won't be disappointed!

Steve Lawton is fantastic. He was recommended to me last year by an agent, and i've gone on to recommend him to people. He takes his shots outside to add more atmosphere and honestly, his work is beautiful. You won't be disappointed!

I've just had headshots done with Claire Grogan and I think she's fantastic. I HATE having photos taken, but she really helps you to get over that and gives really good direction. She's definitely the best I've ever worked with.

    Best of luck!

I second the Claire Grogan recommendation!

Just waiting for final choices to come through! Not only is she a great photographer, she makes you feel totally relaxed and really wants to get the right result for you! Also as an actress herself she knows how to get different looks out of you!

She does discount for CCP clients too!! She is the photographer of choice to many top agents and drama schools!
