Full-time vs independent contractor jobs

Good morning! I am new to Mandy and I'm having difficulty setting up my account to only look for independent contractor/freelance work. Almost all of the leads I'm currently getting are for full-time, salaried jobs. What is the suggestion so I can not get bombarded with opportunities I'm not interested in? Similarly, I am also getting job requests outside my area, and I would like to cull them out as well.

Thoughts?

I'm in the same boat, don't want to work full time, prefer to work on a contract basis and indie projects. Hope we get an answer.

This is pointless if I can't limit my notifications to only work in the geographical area that I am willing to do work. Is anyone from the staff monitoring this forum?

Same here. Looking for contract work in specific location, need better filtering tools

Hello there, Thank you for your question. If you only wish to limit your job alerts to only those close to you, please head to your Profile settings and ensure you have selected the option to 'Email only jobs in my area'.

You can also filter all searches on the jobs boards by area and save this search so that when you return the jobs boards you will only see those relevant to you! Please email us at emails@mandy.com if we can support you with anything else.

Thanks for looking in here Roz, but this does not address the original question and most significant issue. There is no way to separate full-time jobs from gig work in the jobs listing.
I can perform under a number of the job "titles" which overlap significantly, but the lions share of jobs listed and emailed to me are full-time, irrelevant for my self employment, and this cannot be seen until you go to the specific job page. They can't even be visually filtered in search results. Please let us know you understand the issue.

Unfortunately, as the 'Production Dates' field is an open one to allow flexibility for employers, we do not currently have this filter set up. Thank you for this feedback however I will pass it on to our development team.

Simply allow us to filter out the "full time" jobs. It's dysfunctional for it's original purpose currently.

This is kind of funny to me because I have the exact opposite problem. Looking for full-time work and only getting gigs. What area are you in?

Dear @Administrator (Roz),

When you say "limit your job alerts to only those close to you, please head to your Profile settings and ensure you have selected the option to 'Email only jobs in my area'."

Please be specific about what link to click to select the option 'Email only jobs in my area' because I do not see that option.

Editorial Comment Hello There,

Please head to www.mandy.com/profile/settings to update the Job Alerts section to reflect your preferences.

If you have any further issues, please email us at emails@mandy.com

Kind Regards,

The Mandy Team
