Music and talent from stage and screen performed a fund raising charity concert evening last month in memory of Jean Hanlon who tragically lost her life in Crete during 2009. They Live in You organised by Jean’s son Michael Porter who is a musical Theatre performer aimed to raise funds for the Justice For Jean campaign and create awareness for the thousands of Britain’s that die abroad every year, leaving loved ones probing for answers. Hundreds attended the special one off concert held at the Bloomsbury Theatre which was produced by Michael and hosted by Britain’s Got Talent comedian Drew Cameron. A combination of ticket sales, silent auction and a collection among the audience brought the final sums raised to £3668.95 “It was a very special evening” said Michael and I was delighted by the overwhelming support we received both from the performers and the audience that had traveled from all over the country. The money raised will help to fund the legal fees to re-open the case in Crete and continue the long campaign for justice. Michael went on to say, “That the concert had been a wonderful gathering of such talented people. Everyone who attended really enjoyed themselves; so many people through social networking sites have said that it had been a special evening. Thank you to everyone who was involved.”
