I'm a midlands based cinematographer/filmmaker and I am looking to network with like-minded filmmakers who want to get something on the screen. Specifically Directors and Producers.
Not sure if this is the place to do it but I would just like to outline my aims and reasons here.
Ideally, I would love to create a sort of filmmaker hub in Birmingham where we can all grow and learn together gaining experience. I'd love to be able to put the films we make into festivals and sort of advance our careers together.
A bit about me. I'm 25 years old and have experience in narrative, documentary, and music videos. During my time as a filmmaker, I have always wanted to keep projects grounded in relation to the budget and not get too ambitous which could compromise the image. In essence, I would love to be working on a 1-minute short film that we can execute extremely well at a high standard, and then once we have done this improve on it by making a 5 minute film then a 10 minute then a 20 minute short film that are all of a very high quality.
What can I offer?
Although I have a fair bit of experience, I am still very naive and early on in my filmmaking career. However, what I can offer is the experience that I have gained Shooting narrative, documentary, and music videos as well as a camera and lighting package. Currently, I shoot with the Sony FX9. (Happy to send over showreels and examples of my work on request)
I am looking for like-minded individuals in the Birmingham area who are proactive and looking to gain experience. I'd love to start by finding a Director and Producer and work together in creating something as well as build a network of filmmakers that we can call upon to practice our craft.

I´m a gaffer based around Birmingham (Got my own car so I can drive pretty much anywhere). Let me know if you need me. I´d be very happy to help! So far I´ve done some short films and some music videos as well.
It´s definitely a great idea to connect filmmakers aroud and in Birmingham. Maybe a Whatsapp group where everyone is in would be a good idea?
