Inclusive Gender Categories on Mandy

This roll out is in test phase and we would love to hear our member's feedback. If you would like to share your thoughts please contact us at emails@mandy.com.

We are excited to announce that Mandy candidates can now choose their gender from options wider than our current binary options. You can still select Male and Female, however these are the first step of a multitude of changes we are implementing.

If you are not sure what Gender Category applies to you, please read their descriptions below:

Cis Male

A person who was assigned male at birth and whose gender identity is male.

Trans Male

A person who was assigned female at birth but whose gender identity is male

Cis Female

A person who was assigned female at birth and whose gender identity is female.

Trans Female

A person who was assigned male at birth but whose gender identity is female.

Non Binary

Gender identity that does not fit into the binary male/female division

Please note that according to the Gender Recognition Act 2004, if you wish to tell us about your gender reassignment, this information will not be made public on your Mandy profile. Binary gender categories are displayed only on Mandy performer profiles.

This change will be followed by new implementations to our jobs search and job posting tools. We will keep our members updated on how this project develops.
