Top tips from Casting Director, Lucy Jenkins



Casting Director Lucy Jenkins visited The Mandy Network to host our latest Mandy CV surgery, where she gave one-to-one career advice to a selection of actors who applied to attend the event. Lucy is a member of the CDG and BAFTA, is one half of Jenkins McShane Casting

Top Tips from Lucy: 

  • Keep doing what you’re doing!
  • Make sure your headshot/showreel represents you and your energy.
  • Go and see as much theatre as possible.
  • Remember casting directors are rooting for you!
  • Target your communications with casting directors.
  • Prepare thoroughly for auditions - know your stuff and be confident with it.
  • Trim down your older credits to make way for new ones.
