    The School of Performing Arts is seeking to recruit a full-time lecturer in Dance. Housed in the state-of-the-art Performance Hub on our Walsall campus, the School offers a wide portfolio of courses and has strong links with industry. We are committed to providing an excellent student experience and suitable candidates will be expected to demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for teaching, with the desire to support students to fulfil their potential and realise their career ambitions.Lecturer in Dance (1.0 FTE)You will possess a Masters degree in a relevant subject. You will be an excellent teacher with a higher education teaching qualification or PGCE and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.You will have knowledge and experience of higher education teaching in Dance, able to deliver modules in the following areas; Devising & Choreography for stage (and screen), Technique & Repertoire, Dance Pedagogy & Safe and Effective Dance Practice, Contextual Studies and Academic skills modules. You will also be expected to supervise Dance Project students. Working collaboratively with subject and Performing Arts colleagues often on modules with a cross discipline focus, you will possess a passion for the subject of Dance and a clear commitment to supporting students. Active engagement with industry networks would be desirable.
