  • Project Details
Are you a performer, passionate about using your craft to help shape a greener future? The Greenhouse, the UK’s first zero-waste pop-up theatre, is currently recruiting for its rep-company to perform in its ground-breaking and award-winning productions in 2021.About Us:Founded in 2018, The Greenhouse is an industry-leading eco-theatre company, who created the UK’s first zero-waste pop-up theatre. Through our shows, we inspire personal, emotional connections with the climate crisis. Then, through education, outreach, and workshops, we share the skills and knowledge audiences need to take action. Underpinning all of this, we lead by example. Everything about this project – from each individual show to our marketing strategies to the venue itself – is completely zero-waste.The Roles:This year, we are coming back bigger and better than ever before, with a month-long run in London, followed by four months in residency with The Place Bedford. We are looking for a passionate, talented, brilliant team of between 6 to 8 performers – actors, musicians, dancers, or any type of performer – to bring three new shows to life. Shows in London will be performed in rep, while shows in Bedford will each have a one-week run. All performers will appear in a minimum of two shows. The programme has not been decided yet, but will likely include a classical piece, a contemporary piece, and a musical.Rehearsals will take place for two weeks in April – exact dates TBC.The application process is open to all, and we particularly encourage applications from ethnic minorities, disabled candidates, young creatives, and communities currently under-represented in the theatrical community.
