Civil Disobedience is currently casting a diverse range of roles for Paisley Radicals: A digital immersive experience integrating audio and film performance.We're looking for strong voice artists with a range of accents including regional west coast of Scotland.A home set-up for remote audio recording is preferred, but not essential.Location filming will be required for some, but not all roles.The project will be delivered throughout February 2021 in compliance with local authority lockdown restrictions/guidance.Equity/ITC rates apply.Part of ‘Future Paisley’ programme, the ‘Paisley Radicals’ project is a joint production between Renfrewshire Council and Renfrewshire Leisure’s Arts Team, with support from the 1820 Society and Paisley & District University of the Third Age (U3A); and the Museums team. The project is being delivered by Civil Disobedience.It is funded by Renfrewshire Council’s Events team and the Paisley TH.CARS2 programme (which is jointly funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund, Historic Environment Scotland and Renfrewshire Council).The main output of the ‘Paisley Radicals’ project was to be a series of site-specific performances in Paisley town centre in the lead up to Sma’ Shot Day 2020 – involving both professional and community performers and exploring stories from Paisley’s ‘Radical’ past, and the town’s role in the Radical War of 1820. Due to the impact of Covid-19, these performances were cancelled and the project timeline extended until March 2021.The project is currently being developed as an immersive mobile app-lead experience, where users will traverse key landmarks in Paisley as they experience stories from the past and are asked to reflect on the present.
