We are now advertising for an Editing Specialist to join the Engineering team. Engineering are responsible for technical areas around the school including the Technical Stores, Cinema, Dubbing Theatres, Television Studio, Editing, Sound Design and Composing suites.The Editing Specialist will primarily be responsible for supporting the Editing Students and their Edit suites as well as the communal Edit Seminar room and standalone bookable Edit suites. For nearly half a century, the National Film and Television School (NFTS) has developed some of Britain and the world’s top creative talent. It is widely acknowledged to be the top school of its kind in the UK and one of the best internationally. In 2018, the NFTS was awarded both the BAFTA for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema and the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education.The successful candidate will have extensive operational and Editing experience using Avid Media Composer, ideally ACSR certified, with experience of providing support to users of Avid. You will have a friendly manner and good customer service skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.The closing date for applications will be 21st February 2021.At the NFTS, people are at the heart of what we do.
