Our London team is looking for an Assistant Technical Directors to join us working across Advertising, Episodic Television and Immersive projects. The Assistant Technical Director (ATD) reports to the CG Supervisor and may perform a diverse series of technical support and engineering functions in order to ensure the smooth running of projects.Responsibilities:Supporting or troubleshooting the pipeline and workflow toolsProviding in-person technical assistance to people in creative departments such as AnimationManaging data on a large networked file systemManaging computer resources according to production departmentsEssential Skills:A degree in Computer Science, Digital Art or a similar related fieldA strong knowledge of Linux and UnixMaya and Houdini knowledgePrevious experience of Python and shell scriptingPrevious experience in visual effects, CG animation or video game productionExperience with a variety of commercial graphics applications such as Maya and NukeStrong problem solving skillsExcellent communication skillsThe ability to work well in a collaborative environmentDesirable Skills:Experience in unreal/real time engines is useful but not essentialVEX and MEL knowledge is a plus
