As a Production Specialist based in Manchester, you will work as part of a multi-skilled team providing technical, craft, operational and administrative skills across all areas of the news service, primarily based at our newsroom and studio at Media City, Salford.You will have the opportunity to develop new skills and to move between different duties on a daily basis as the needs of a busy and vibrant news operation require. With training and guidance, you will be able to develop your skills and experience in areas from production administration and scheduling to live studio operations, gallery timing, editing, media management and frontline technical support. The rostered hours will include weekend working, late shifts as well as early morning shifts.As a Production Specialist, you will ideally have a technical background and will certainly have a passion for live TV news production, particularly in a technical, operational or support capacity. You will be a highly motivated individual as well as friendly and approachable; you will be committed to working as part of a successful team, sharing the responsibility for supporting programme production by having the willingness and aptitude to learn many new skills with appropriate training.
