We have two roles for Senior Technicians:One specialising in Lighting, Sound and Video and the other Stage.There are also two roles for experienced Technicians.In our senior roles you will: Support the Technical & Production Manager in the smooth running of all aspects of the Technical Department, ensuring that all Technical, Facilities and H&S aspects of the department are delivered to the highest quality. Lead, Manage and Motivate the Lighting & Sound team and supervise the day to day running of MAST performances & events, facilities and equipment. Deputise for Technical & Production Manager as requested.In our Technician roles you will be supporting all aspects of the work of the Technical and Production department.Our ideal applicants will have a mixture of the following skills, experience and qualifications: BTEC Theatre Studies or equivalent Proven track record and skills in all aspects of technical theatre including experience as Production LX/Sound in a presenting/producing theatre or tour Experience of effectively managing get in/fit up and show crew Excellent team building and motivational skills & experience supervising staff Experience of liaising with touring productions In depth knowledge and practical programming experience of ETC ION/GIO desk Practical experience of live sound mixing and PA installation In depth knowledge and understanding of staging, stage carpentry/engineering, scenic shifting, rigging and flying Good project management skills Electrical/portable appliance testing and front line repairs Good computer skillsSpecialist training ideally acquired Rigging Temporary electrical installationIssue Date: 12.09.2014, Version 1, Owner: HR department Power distribution Counterweight Flying Working at Height PAT trained168 hours worked over a 4 week period. The rota includes evenings, weekends and bankholidays.Salary for Senior Technicians is up to £28,000 per annum and for Technicians is up to£21,000 pa.
