    Job Overview:We have an exciting role as an Animator to join a growing team on Old School RuneScape. Boasting millions of players across PC and mobile this game continues to grow in popularity and requires an Animator to maximize its poitential. As an Animator you will be responsible for benchmarking the animation quality standard in support of the animation style. In addition, you will also be responsible for mentoring and assisting in the development of the team to hit the expected quantity and quality.You will be pivotal in developing systems and pipelines for animation production and will help create a dynamic and characterful animation style. In this role you will have significant impact on a game from conception to completion.The team are a highly functioning, agile and small team so you must show abilities in open communication, collaboration, self-awareness and respect to safeguard our creative culture.The ideal candidate proactively seeks opportunities to elevate the game, embraces constructive feedback, and thrives in a highly collaborative and open environment.Main Duties:-Work closely with Associate Art Director to raise quality and refine the look and feel for the project.Work with Technical Art, Engineering and other artists to develop the animation creation and integration pipeline.Responsible for the delivery of benchmark quality in game animationProvide support to the team in supervising animation production / quality standards and provide feedback and critique to juniorsAble to work independently when prototyping, problem solving and carrying out R&D in animation pipelines.Support, promote and build good team and studio morale in an open, creative environmentAssist the Associate Art Director with delivering feedback / correspondence to outsource partners or freelancers as requiredWhat we are looking for:-Expert working knowledge of Maya (Motionbuilder a plus)Experience of animating for third-personPortfolio evidence of ‘hands on’ outstanding AAA animation using both keyframe and motion captureThorough knowledge of end to end in game animation workflow and related disciplinesEnough understanding of technical animation to communicate and resolve animation related issuesComfortable participating in and contributing to group review and critique sessionsEffective time management, task prioritisationAbility to break down animation requirements and provide accurate estimates for sprint and release planning purposesClear, professional interaction; communicate clearly, and concisely to team, peers and managementAble to mentor and level up juniors animator skills through teaching and mentoringPracticed game or real-time product content development process and pipelines having shipped several products as a Senior Animator (portfolio evidence required)Have a passion for games and understand game development processesDesirable but non-essential requirementsIn depth rigging / skinning knowledgeExperience working on MMO/RPGs, live games/games as a serviceKnowledge and understanding in stop motionCompany Benefits:Flexible WorkingBonus SchemePrivate Health CareGym MembershipGenerous Pension ContributionsLife InsuranceFree Cycle RepairIncome ProtectionDental PlanFree Fruit and DrinksSubsidised Canteen
