Our talented Stages department are looking for an experienced Stage Technician (Grade 4) with an expertise in stage craft to support theatre performances, production rehearsals and other events in all three venues, rehearsal rooms and other NT spaces as required. This role is responsible for the installation of scenery and associated systems, handling of props and will supervise other stage technicians undertaking related activity, whilst engaging in the full scope of Stage responsibilities.As part of the essential skills for this role the successful candidate will have the following:Solid stage operational experience in professional theatre; in a producing or rep theatre, or within a touring environment.Excellent stage craft skills and the ability to work at height using access equipment and PPE such as ladders and work positioning equipment.A good working knowledge and experience of theatrical flying techniques.Automation experienceA practical working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation including LOLER, PUWER, risk assessment and working at height.The ability to draw, read and interpret ground and stage plans using CAD and other software.An open mind to new ways of working and a sympathetic approach to people working under pressure in an artistic environment.Good IT skills including use of Outlook, Word, Excel and AutoCAD.The ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritise conflicting demands.Industry-recognised certificates in rigging, stagecraft, health and safety and electrical awareness.If that sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you.The closing date for the receipt of completed application forms is: Monday 17th May 2021, at 12 noon.  We want our workforce to be representative of all sections of society and welcome applications from everyone.  As users of the disability confident scheme, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria for our vacancies.  HR Department 2021  Attachments:
