45 minute lessons wanted for 13 year old boy with adhd who is preparing for his grade 5 exam.The mother has said "Felix has a medication for his ADHD. Mostly he enjoys the piano and loves encouragement and praise. The things I am going to list are when things appear to not be going so well; Felix responds well to positive feedback. Clear boundaries and a calm firm voice. He gets frustrated when something is difficult for him (sight reading)or its new and he has to apply himself so any positive words or praise as soon as he’s doing something in the right direction helps. Scolding, comparing and putting down doesn’t work. It’s great to have a structure so he knows what is being asked of him each week."
