The project is a book called After the Rising by Orna Ross. It is a 110k word book which we are converting to an audiobook. The main character (female) was raised in Ireland but has lived in the USA (San Francisco) for the past 10 years so has a (mainly) American accent. This would be the accent that the book in general needs to be narrated in which is why I am looking for someone with a natural American accent. A lot of other characters in the book are Irish and would need an Irish accent. The author is getting me some examples of the accents so we have something to base them off. This is a paid gig. The pay is based on a per-finished-hour rate of £75. For the length of this book my calculator is estimating that this will result in a total of about £850 for the job. The estimate of recording time for this project is 5 - 6 days depending on how well recording goes. We like recording in person (at our studio in Prestbury in Cheltenham) which we find allows us to get a much better quality recording. Along with the main recording there would also be one or two ‘pick-up’ sessions where we take in any minor changes. Usually these take a couple of hours each - we may be able to work remotely for this part of the project. As the voice actor you will just be responsible for the reading of the manuscript. All the editing and producing is taken care of elsewhere.I have attached a small exert from manuscript for a test recording if you would be so kind. Don’t worry about the recording quality, we are just trying to get an idea for the author to pick the voice actor they would like for the job. This book is part of a trilogy and if this audiobook project goes well, the same voice actor will be used for the second and third book.  Attachments:
