CALL OUT FOR ACTORS - short artist film in Basildon, Laindon & Leigh on SeaShooting within 18th-22nd & 26-31st August (exact dates TBC with locations)3 actors needed for a short artist film by Maz Murray funded by the arts council: A surreal soap opera telling interconnected stories across Basildon and the estuary.1 older man, ‘geezer’ type (55-65) with thick Essex or cockney accent: 1/2 day shoot - at Bas Vegas (Festival Leisure Centre) only2 young women (23-30) hyper feminine (hair done, nails done, full makeup) thick Essex accent. 3-4 day shoot - multiple locations (Basildon, Laindon, Leigh on Sea)Dual roles to play both: Two Essex girls meet and fall in love after both getting dumped by their boyfriends at Bas Vegas McDonalds. and Two Plotlanders visit local cunning folk. Implied semi nudity scene (underwear) and a brief kissing scene with suggested sex (fully clothed) between the two characters, in a campy stylised mannerThese roles are open to any race and any size, and we encourage interest from LGBTQI+ people.Scenes will be shot guerrilla style on location (Festival Leisure Centre, Unit 7, Laindon Nature Reserve, Leigh-on-Sea beach, c2c train) using an iPhone, DSLR and clip on mics to mimic real life, or at least the hyper-reality of reality TVIdeal for someone who can drive as Laindon nature reserve is difficult to reach via public transport. Additional scenes will be shot with green screen in a home studio.Acting experience/credentials is less important than being up for an experimental way of shooting, more like street theatre than traditional film/TV
