‘ Cow hugging’ is a short film about a woman dancing in the presence of a cow.Cat is a woman and dancer who is going through a break-up. She gets to know a new form of pet therapy, called 'cow hugging'. She is so desperate to get better that she is up for giving it a go. While at the sanctuary, Cat is told the story of the rescued cow Sylvia. Her story is similar to many other female cows, where the current Western animal food structure relies on the exploitation of the female reproductive system. However, her encounter with the cow doesn't go as planned and she ends up using her body to dance a hectic dance, desperately trying to get the attention of the cow. Unintentionally, through the dance she ends up interpreting Sylvia's past and present, catching the attention of the cow. Showreel appreciated.
