Space Invasion attempts to start a dialogue on whether the sexualisation of the female body has created a perverted invasion of female space. The short revolves around Sara who becomes convinced that her flatmates have arrived back early from a night out and are jokingly trying to break into her locked room. After finding out that her suspicions were wrong, she becomes trapped inside her bedroom and soon engages in an intense struggle to evade the intruder. Not only satirical take on a well known trope from the slasher sub-genre, in which a pretty young woman is constantly encroached by a sadistic killer, but also musings on how our subconsciously conditioned minds on sex and identity can cause self destructive actions resulting in long-lasting traumatic states in others.
