A workplace where you can proudly be yourself; our people make Sky a truly exciting and inclusive place to work.What you’ll do:• Provide management of a technical team ensuring resource, existing solutions and new technologies are effectively utilised to help the business and department meet goals and required deliveries.• Supervise and anticipate work-loads on a continuous basis and provide transparency of costs to business areas such that the full impact of new requirements or initiatives can be fully understood, and assessed.• Look out for the business strategy across Broadcast Services and Sky and ensure that effort is focused on business objectives.• Conduct performance and development reviews for all your team in accordance with review system guidelines. Ensure ongoing development of team working, employee involvement, support of education and training and development.• Work with the Solutions Support Manager to build and maintain a climate where employees are treated with integrity and respect, employees feel their dedication and contribution is recognised and valued, and where flexibility & innovation is encouraged.• To participate in the ongoing process of recruitment, development, motivation, and retention of high calibre teams.What you’ll bring:• Ability to facilitate lively, informative, and constructive team meetings with team members to ensure that an effective and regular peer forum exists to cover company, department and team performance and group issues.• The ability to provide timely and accurate reports of current issues and future requirements.• Understanding of software engineering principles and their application to the broadcast environment and previous experience of production workflows in live television solutions• A proven track record in delivering broadcast IT solutions, transmission or transport of video and audio, using AR/VR Graphics solutions and On Air Graphics solutions (Viz/Unreal/Unity)• Excellent communications and inter-personal skills, sound customer service, motivational skills, and experience in technical troubleshootingTeam Overview:In Content, Technology & Innovation, we use the latest tech to build, process and distribute the best entertainment.
