Hi All,



We are looking for an actress to play the role of GRANDMA (70) in our short, experimental film, 'Grandma's Necklace'. The film itself will be a four minute exploration and representation of memory, following a young man's train of thought as he sells his Grandma's old necklace at the market.



The idea for the film was birthed when I bought random family photographs at the market about a month ago; I found it so odd that people would sell someone else's memories, someone else's life. It's probably even stranger that I bought said photographs.



This listing is for the role of our protagonist's, Trish (23), Grandma. In the film, Grandma serves as a figment of our protagonist's memory, a ghost of sort. Her behaviour is as if she is stuck in time, nestled eternally within an photograph.



Being an experimental short film, there is no dialogue. In fact, we are relying solely on visual performance (facial expressions, mannerisms and aesthetic, etc.) coupled with interesting and serene soundscapes in order to convey our meaning.



As outlined, filming will take place in late October/early November. However, we are still awaiting approval of an Artist's Grant from the Arts Council UK. This verdict may either delay or hasten our shoot dates. That being said, we are flexible to work around your schedule.



This is because we are a very small and friendly crew, comprised of six people; all of whom are recent Film Practice graduates at the London College of Communication. The film is a passion project of ours and we would love for you to get involved!
