Pulitzer Prize-winning Rabbit Hole tells the tale of Becca and Howie Corbett, parents whose lives are changed forever after their young son Danny is killed in a car accident. Eight months on and they are drifting further and further apart; they deal with their grief in vastly different ways and become judgemental of each other’s choices. Becca wants to start afresh in a new home and give away their son’s possessions, but Howie wants to keep the memory of Danny alive. Their relationship begins to fragment and they find comfort in unexpected places, and with unexpected people.



The play explores the lasting effects of grief and the profound ways that we can find solace in pain. Lindsay Abaire has created a touching and memorable play which deals with difficult themes and yet manages to find hope amongst them.



Nicole Kidman’s production company adapted the play into a film in 2010, starring Nicole Kidman, Aaron Eckhart and Dianne Wiest.



We are very excited to bring this play to life at the Union Theatre in spring 2022.



We are currently in the process of applying for funding so we can only offer to pay the National Minimum Wage for the performance days (3hrs per night for 18 shows = £353.24 if aged 18-20, £451.44 if aged 21-24, £481.14 if aged 25+) NOT for the rehearsal days but we will work around your availability for rehearsals, we are very flexible. Rehearsals will take place in Southeast London, in Deptford.
