VAULT Festival is the UK’s leading independent showcase of live performance and artistic talent; featuring thousands of sensational performances across Theatre, Comedy, & Live Entertainment, made by the most exciting and boldest artists of our time. We’re “one of the UK’s most significant festivals…a fertile breeding ground” (The Stage) for the “most exciting new and grassroots theatre, cabaret, and comedy” (Time Out). Set in bespoke venues across the heart of Waterloo, the festival bursts to life for eight glorious weeks of joyous creativity; adding vibrance and colour to the otherwise dreary deep winter months. We aim to be the most accessible, sustainable, affordable, and welcoming performance festival in the UK.We value art and entertainment equally, creating a safe-space environment where artists and audiences feel welcome, surrounded by culture created by, and for, them.Since 2012 we’ve hosted 11,515 performances across theatre, dance, comedy, cabaret, immersive shows & live music, with audiences of 365,000. We’ve become “London’s most innovative and exhilarating arts and entertainment event” (The Upcoming). 2020’s Festival featured 616 shows by 2,870 artists, including 170 full professional premieres & 230 original works, and welcomed 73,523 attendees in the seven weeks the Festival ran. The eighth and final week was cancelled due to the onset of COVID-19. Continuing safety concerns have resulted in the postponement of the next full, live Festival until January 2022. The 2022 festival will be our 10th anniversary (& our 8th festival) and will run from 25th January - 20th March 2022.
