Who are Flix?Flix Films is a small production company based in South London, set up to enhance the quality of healthcare films, we also occasionally dip our toe in the ethical corporate sector. In 2016 Flix began exploring the use of Virtual Reality in healthcare, this is an area I am really passionate about. We are however still making quality traditional 2D films that complement our work. Since the pandemic we have experienced a demand in 2D films and have a had project come in which I’m wanting to source a professional FCPX editor for.Objective: Create 4 short films (Vlog style films) that helps prospective students prepare for our admissions test and build their confidence by demystifying the process with tips and tricks to conquer the admission test.Reference: () although this is a good reference link we’d like our films to be more dynamic, with more cut a ways, graphics and potentially a green screen section. As our presenters/students are not professional vloggers, we are aiming to shoot on two cameras to give more options in the edit make the films more engaging.Concept: 4 short videos of current students introducing themselves to camera and reflect on their admission test experience. As they reflect on their experience the film takes them back to that moment, they took the test… Each student will talk through a short solution to the maths questions they experienced when they took the admission test. As well as giving specific help/tips on the mathematics. Friendly students will give advice on how to prepare and give viewers an idea about what the entrance test was like when they did it.Logistics: 4 students take part in one video each. Duration 2-3 minutes but depends on the mathematical content- we would like them to be shorter if possible. Students selected will form diverse range of students.Basic structure:• Relaxed (to camera) introduction to the student, where they’re from, why they’re interested in Maths…• Montage of student taking the admission test to voice over, student looks nervous, pen tapping etc• Student shows short solution to a test question, including graphic display which shows the question.• Discussion of the clues in the question and options that are available for solution• Go through the question with highlights of the “crux” points and include advice on layout and presentation of final answer.• End with: (to camera) student summery “What was test like for you when you did it?” “Did you feel confident beforehand?” “How would you advise a Y11 to prepare for the entrance test?” etc.Style: (Please see 'basic' storyboard attachment) • Filming Style of the video - Filmed on two cameras, some sections maybe handheld.• Edit style – Vlog style - text graphics and possibly utilising split screen effects, green screen.
