    We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Acquisitions Executive to join the Global Acquisitions team.Key Responsibilities:To manage the execution of both third-party acquisitions and BBC Studios internal deals for their channels/region ensuring content is delivered in a timely fashion according to deadlines.   To co-ordinate and negotiate pre-sale and co-production deals where appropriate ensuring that all deals are within budget and return optimal value for money. To be the expert for their channels/region and ensure carriage commitments, editorial requirements, insights etc are gathered, captured and shared with the team. To work closely with editorial stakeholders and sales and operational teams across BBCS and UKTV, building and maintaining strong relationships and ensuring effective collaboration and communication. Ensure all deals comply with BBCS and UKTV policies regarding rights, commercial terms, compliance and editorial integrity. To manage their own relationships with external suppliers, and the sourcing and negotiation of content to leverage the businesses¿ joint buying power to maximum effect and co-ordinating across the global portfolio of branded services. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of competitors¿ schedules and the wider tv market. Attend screenings, industry markets and events as required. Knowledge and skills:A love of content and happy to watch lots of it and talk about it. An understanding of the UKTV channels and BBC-Branded services and their editorial requirements. Broad knowledge of BBC Studios¿, including UKTV¿s, Editorial & Commercial policy. Ability to use own initiative with confidence, using judgment to escalate where necessary.  Ability to make sound editorial judgements around programme selection. Negotiation experience, with knowledge of programme rights and terms. Proven track record of being organised and responsive in fast paced environments. Adaptable and resilient, able to cope with the pressure of managing the demands of a high volume of work, the various needs of different stakeholders, and meeting tight deadlines. Has a proactive and flexible approach to work and is comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities. An understanding of evolving audience requirements and the wider media industry.
