    We have an exciting opportunity for a Schedule Manager to join the Programming team. The Schedule Manager creates competitive and imaginative SOCI-driving and profile-friendly linear and non-linear schedules for a channel or channels. They are responsible for the strategic planning of programme supply and schedules, sourcing content (with others in the Channel Team). The Schedule Manager also manages and tracks linear and non-linear stock, including amort and sharing restrictions.In this role you will get to:Work on two major channels within the UKTV network: Drama, the biggest SOCI-driving channel and Alibi, one of our key Pay channelsYou will contribute to those channel¿s performance by bringing experience and creativity to find fresh editorial ideas and scheduling strategies to the channelsThis role will offer the chance to help shape two tv channels, as well as to learn about the requirements of two different platforms (Freeview and Pay tv) and two different audiences.We are looking for someone who has:An experienced linear tv scheduler, ideally with a background on both Pay and Free platformsA knowledge of scheduling systems, experience of managing budgets and amort, and excellent knowledge of the tv landscape, both linear and non-linear, are essential in this roleTop 3 criteria of what they will need to be successful in this role are creativity, an ability to use research and data effectively, and a passion for tvWho you are:Considerable experience within a scheduling function with demonstrable success in delivering creative schedules that effectively reach target audiencesAn excellent knowledge of the channel¿s content and/or specfic genre, audience and a clear knowledge of competitors and the wider television and media landscapeUnderstand on-demand audiences and ability to make informed decisions on the use of non-linear contentAbility to make sound editorial judgements around programme selection which reduces the channel¿s exposure to commercial risk, dependant on the size of the channelKnowledge of audience research and how it can be utilised to make scheduling decisionsAn understanding of rights, including linear and non-linear exploitationProactive and flexible approach to work, and comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing prioritiesAbility to manage multiple projects concurrently requiring excellent organisational skillsStrong people management experience with the ability to motivate and develop a teamStrong relationship management and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a number of departments and services and levelsAbility to work at a strategic level and adopt an analytical approach to schedule developmentA genuine passion for television
