    You will be joining our UK team, who produce award-winning creative and scientific communications for our EU pharmaceutical clients. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment with expert talent in producing creative healthcare communications and experiences, from internal engagement and communications planning to healthcare professional/patient education programmes. On occasion, you'll also support our US colleagues, who specialise in scientific training including eLearning, infographics, virtual training, and live experiences for US-based pharmaceutical clients.This role will involve a diverse range of work, ensuring the highest standards are met through copy editing, proof reading, and quality checking all our deliverables – be they virtual/live events and exhibitions, digital platforms and applications, film or print.This role will be supported and mentored by our Head of Editorial and Compliance, and will work in partnership with both our Scientific and Client Services teams.Responsibilities and expectations of the roleProvide editorial support to the Axiom EU and US teamsCopy editing: ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency and clarity in line with project briefsProof reading: check work across different outputs, contexts and formats, collaborating with studio and other departments where needed to ensure content is correct and consistentQuality checking: ensure items are approved for spelling, grammar, punctuation and overall senseCompliance: develop an understanding of pharmaceutical industry processes and adherence to compliance codes and regulations, including copyright and permissionsWork collaboratively with the Scientific and Client Services teamsWork closely with Medical Writers and Client Services colleagues, communicating proactively to manage your workload and deliver projects to agreed timelinesUnderstand the importance of clear briefs and scope of work from colleagues, learning which questions to ask and when to follow up to ensure your work is aligned with expectationsDemonstrate flexibility and understanding when dealing with changing timelines; support the team with a calm and patient attitudeTime/project managementManage tasks across multiple accounts, products and therapy areas, whilst maintaining consistency and meticulous attention to detailWork with the Senior Medical Editor to monitor your capacity, plan around multiple delivery requirements, manage conflicting deadlines and proactively respond to excess workloadDevelop and demonstrate an understanding of time on job and budget implications; assist Client Services by checking your allocated hours and notifying the team of any scope creepWhat we offerComprehensive onboarding and training with an encouraging and enthusiastic teamExciting range of creative healthcare project types and opportunities to expand your skill setOpportunities to work with talented scientific, creative, events and digital teams across TCEGBenefits packageRequirementsEducated to degree level, ideally in English or scientific disciplineWorking experience is not essential, but a keen interest in healthcare is a mustOutstanding attention to detail, able to follow a style guide and spot errors, inconsistencies and inaccuraciesA passion for quality; a self-confessed perfectionist!Exceptional verbal, written, and organisational skills, plus excellent knowledge of English spelling and grammarAbility to patiently manage multiple changing projects, tasks, priorities and deadlinesHigh level of self-motivation, ability to work with tight timelines and under pressureAbility to thrive both independently and in a team environmentPositive and proactive attitude; keen to learnOpen to new/innovative ideas, proactive and highly collaborative team player, a positive problem solverAdditional beneficial knowledge, skills and abilitiesA scientific background or previous experience in a publishing/communications agency environment would be advantageousStrong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat skills preferredA good understanding of UK versus US spelling and grammar rules would be beneficial
