Female actors required for Comedy Murder Mystery Dinner in Huddersfield on 22 December 2021 Laugh and Let Die are a Murder Mystery company that have been performing for 10 years, and after experiencing massive growth in the last 12 months, we are looking to recruit local teams of actors for shows across the country. There are 2 x female roles available in this show. It’s all improv around a given plot, with just one paragraph of lines to learn for a scripted piece at the start. The bulk of your part is answering questions guests are asking you, so you have to be able to think on your feet. We are a comedy company and we are looking for funny people. We play it for laughs, there are no puzzles or codes to crack in our shows. We are there for the jokes! The show is at the Keys Kitchen & Coffee House, HD1 1BU . We have expanded massively in the last 12 months, and it is accelerating. We expect to do around 100 shows next year! The fee for the show is £75 + dinner. The show is pretty much all improvisation, so you will have to be able to think on your feet. We do have prompt questions that the detective gives to the guests to read out if they are struggling (which is often!), so you can have some ready made responses up your sleeve. You will be performing with actors that have been with the company since its inception, and will give you lots of support. (5 actors in the show) THE AUDITION Self tape of the ‘script’. We would like you read some of the script, and also to improvise answers to the questions. Don’t worry about getting answers ‘correct’, we want to see you being funny! SPECIFICS Call time at the venue is 6:00pm. Show time 7:00pm. On stage for about 45 mins, and then 3 x 20 minute segments between food courses. Finished (including clearing up) at around 11.00pm. Actual show finishes around 10.30pm. We perform up and down the country and the business has blown up in the last twelve months. We have partnerships with Grosvenor Casino, CDG Restaurant Group, Match. com, Xtreme Events, Red Cactus Events, LastNightOfFreedom stag and hen parties, and many others, and are not expecting the growth of the business to slow down.
