    We require confident young actors to join our busy T.I.E company, for our upcoming tour of "In Harm's Way" - a play + workshop exploring mental health & self harm, to be performed in secondary schools in London & the home counties. We are specifically looking for actors who can and are happy to drive."In Harm's Way" follows the friendship of three year 9 students over a period of time and explores mental health, coping mechanisms & emotional well-being. Through seperate struggles with "self-harm" in various forms including cutting, drugs, alcohol & online relationships; we explore the dangers, conscequences and help available for some of these problems.The 50 minute play sits in between a 40 minute interactive lecture, where the actors work directly with the students via forum theatre, hot seating and Q&A's.The actors are responsible for liaising with the school contact, and get-ins & get-outs: Minimal set and props, sign-in & set-up takes max. 30 minutes.RequirementsDegree/Diploma qualification minimum, formal training/sufficient professional experience preferableMust be registered/happy to register as Self-employedMust have a DBS or be happy for us to arrange a check (please state if you already have one)Forum Theatre/Improvisation/T.I.E & Touring Experience preferableFull Clean Drivers LicenseDATES & TIMINGS: Auditions:06/12/21, 10AM - 5PM20 minute slots, please state availability in your applicationLeytonstoneRehearsals10 - 21 January (exact dates TBC, some flexibility)WalthamstowTour Dates Jan - Mar 2022(2 bookings per day maximum, no more than 45 minute drive between schools.)Please note, this tour is not yet fully booked, so it may be possible to work/audition around the bookings. Booking will be closed on Friday 21 January. You will then be provided with the finalised schedule, so you can arrange work accordingly. If more schools enquire, dates will be offered but you are not obliged to take them.WAGETotal Rehearsal Fee = £10.85 per hour£40 per booking (Max. 2 per day.)Travel expenses (All travel & accommodation costs covered by the company.)Please note: While the play contains themes around drugs, alcohol & online relationships the focus is very much on how to ask for help, finding positive coping mechanisms such as talking to a trusted adult.
