Derby LIVE Technical Manager Salary: Grade H £30,451 pro rataHours: 37 Hours Per WeekContract type: Fixed Term – 9 monthsLocation: All Derby LIVE Venues and Performance Spaces We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join our busy and expanding Production & Technical Team at Derby LIVE, part of Derby City Council. We present, produce and host an excellent and diverse programme of live performances, conferences, events and festivals throughout the City of Derby.You will manage the technical facilities at Derby LIVE’s venues and performance spaces, covering events at Derby Arena and outdoor events and festivals throughout the city, reporting to the Production & Technical Manager. You will manage Technicians, providing duty cover and technical support as necessary and ensure the highest possible standards are achieved.We’re looking for someone with solid management experience in professional theatre, conferencing or events and proven experience of team management with the ability to listen, give guidance, delegate and deliver informal practical training. The successful candidate will also have a practical working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation including LOLER, PUWER, temporary electrical systems, risk assessment and working at height, and be up to date on current equipment, new technologies and working practices.You will need to have a flexible approach to working hours including evening and weekend working.You must be able to travel to different locations within the City of Derby.  Attachments:
